Anointed word of God church baptized students taking beginner course. The baptism was held in the main church on April 13 2008, in the presence of people who came to attend the Sunday service. Ever since the churches operation, this is the 12th round baptism. |

A new group of Quires consisting of 45 singers were graduated sunday april 20, 2008 in front of the attendant who came to praise the almighty God. They presented some songs. Glory to God, the almighty, who gave us blessed quires. |

Jesus is Lord
The Anointed word of God church was established by Pastor Michael Wondimu, a man of God who had a calling and received a vision to establish the Church [AWGC] in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Church was established in January 2000 and the main purpose of its existence is to preach the gospel, primarily to the people of this nation and to the people of the rest of the world. The main trust of the Church is to bring the WORD OF SALVATION to the attention of the people who deserve it, and help them enjoy the secret of “Eternal life with Christ” and “Earthly life in Christ”.
The church has begun to function only with 10-committed believers in the early days of its establishment. In few years time, the size of the congregation has grown tremendously and today, there are more than 1500 people attending the Sunday and Tuesday Services of the Church. The AWGC is officially registered with the Ministry of Justice under certificate number 1032 in 2003. About 70 people are ministering in the church, being organized under 10 different groups, including Prayers group, Evangelism, Quior, Ushers, Publication and documentation, Advisory Body, Children Education, G-12 [home Cells], mother's fellowship and Maheleye fellowship.
